President Muhammadu Buhari, alongside top government officials, has arrived in Bichi Local Government Area of Kano for the wedding of his son, Yusuf, and Zahra, the daughter of the Emir of Bichi., Nasiru Ado Bayero.
Buhari Sallau, a Presidential aide confirmed the arrival of the President via his Facebook page.
“President Muhammadu Buhari arrives Kano for his son, Yusuf Buhari’s wedding to Zahra Nasir Bayero taking place this afternoon at the Emir Palace in Bichi LGA, ”
President Buhari had earlier paid a condolence visit to the government and people of Adamawa over the death of Ahmed Joda, an elder statesman.
Also, the President had earlier sent a high-level delegation to Bichi in order to oversee preparation for the wedding ceremony.
The delegates include:
Minister of Defence, retired Maj. Gen. Bashir Magashi; Minister of Agriculture, Alhaji Sabo Nanono; Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika; Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Hussein Adamu as well as the Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media and Publicity), Garba Shehu.
