Model Renae Ayris and husband Andrew Papadopoulos welcome a baby girl – and share their daughter’s very unique name


Model Renae Ayris and her fitness trainer husband Andrew Papadopoulos have welcomed a baby girl.

The former Miss Universe Australia, 30, shared the exciting new to Instagram on Sunday evening, alongside an adorable image of their daughter Harper Lee Papadopoulos.

In the picture, Harper is seen sleeping peacefully, wrapped in a floral blanket and adorned with a matching baby bow. Beside her sat a plaque that read, ‘Hello World’. 

The couple also detailed their little bundle of joy’s stats, writing she was born on Friday, December 12, and listed her birth weight as 3.28kg and length as 52cm. 

‘Our hearts are SO full,’ they proudly wrote in unison beside the heavenly frame.

The couple also shared a tender picture of new mother Renae holding baby Harper in her hospital bed. 

She captioned the image, ‘Been a busy weekend’ and added a love heart emoji.  

Renae and Andrew were soon inundated with congratulatory messages from their celebrity friends.

‘Congratulations gorgeous girl, absolute perfection,’ wrote The Bachelor’s Laura Byrne.

‘So so so so thrilled for you both. I’m obsessed already,’ added Erin Holland. 

Tim Robards was quick to note the daddy-daughter resemblance, commenting, ‘Congrats you two!!!! I can so see you Pap!’

While super WAG Bec Judd preferred to keep things short and sweet, writing, ‘Congratulations! She’s a beauty.’

Renae and Andrew, 31, announced their pregnancy in June after months of struggling with ‘unexplained infertility’.

The couple told Who magazine in July they would be welcoming their child at Christmas. 

Renae revealed their tiny tot was due on December 23. 

‘A Christmas baby – it will be the best present ever, I’m sure,’ she said.

She also spoke candidly about their battle with unexplained infertility, saying they tried for over a year to get pregnant. 

Unexplained infertility is when a couple have been trying to fall pregnant for around a year and haven’t been able to do so, despite typical infertility issues being tested for and ruled out.

‘It’s actually is a good outcome, as much as it is frustrating, it’s one of the best outcomes you can have,’ Renae explained.

But she said the whole process was ‘physically and emotionally draining’.

Andrew revealed he found it hard to watch his wife go through the heartbreaking process.

‘It was just like having a dark cloud over her head the whole time, which was really upsetting to see – when you’re someone who wants to see them at their best and happy,’ he said.

The pair eventually fell pregnant on their second round of IUI – or artificial insemination, which is considered less invasive than IVF.
