Russell Crowe has spent the past several weeks in Thailand filming his latest movie, The Greatest Beer Run Ever.

And fans in Bangkok spotted the Australian actor on Thursday as he roamed the streets of the city with his co-star Zac Efron.

Oscar-winner Crowe, 57, wore a rust-coloured button-up shirt over a white T-shirt, which he teamed with khaki cargo pants.

Efron, 34, wore a simple plaid shirt over a T-shirt with chinos, and carried a satchel.

The actors were in a cheerful mood as they strolled down a quiet-looking street.

They are joined in Thailand by retired rugby league player Sam Burgess, formerly of the South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL team, which Crowe co-owns.

The Greatest Beer Run Ever is an Apple Studios production.

It follows the true story of John ‘Chickie’ Donohue who leaves New York in 1967 and tracks down his childhood friends fighting in Vietnam to share a beer with them.

In the production, Thailand will serve in place of Vietnam.

The project is being directed by Peter Farrelly (Green Book), who also co-wrote the script with Brian Currie and Pete Jones.

Both Efron and Crowe have taken to social media in recent days to share photos from Bangkok as they eat local delicacies.

The California native took to Instagram Stories on Thursday to share his ‘favourite meal in Thailand’ with his 49.7 million followers.

He posted a picture of himself giving a thumbs-up as chef Jay Fai smiled in the background.

‘What an incredible chef. Favorite meal in Thailand,’ he wrote.
