Actor and Lawmaker, Desmond Elliot became a subject of ridicule and abuse after a certain Dr Olufunmilayo on Twitter said he is one of the lawmakers in the Lagos House of Assembly pushing for a bill to regulate speech on social media in the state.

He also insinuated that the State Government plans to cover up the #LekkiMassacre and also arrest anyone that comments on it on social media.

However, Desmond Elliot who represents Surulere Constituency discredited Dr Olufunmilayo’s claim in a video obtained online.
