Bashir El-Rufai got married to Halima Nwakego Kazaure who is the daughter of a former Senator from Jigawa State, Ibrahim Kazaure.
The wedding saw many dignitaries and political heavyweights in attendance.

Some of the big names that were there are Minister of Science and Technology Ogbonnaya Onu, former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, Jigawa State Governor, Badaru Abubakar, Senate President Bukola Saraki and a host of others.
