Abia State University has come under severe criticisms from Twitter users after it announced that all returning students are to pay a sum of N15,000 as “Pandemic Prevention Fee”
The University claimed that it’s premises including hotels, lecturer rooms and lecturers’ halls have been nominated.
Consequently, students are to resume on the 9th of November ahead of the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic session.
These developmentments were contained in a statement published on the 21st of October, 2020 by the University’s Registra, Acho Elendu.
The statement has generated more than a handful of reactions on Twitter as majority condemn the move by the University to demand such fee from the students.
