Strictly's Judi Love WILL return to the dance floor this week after contracting Covid-19 2

Judi Love is set to return to the dance floor on Saturday after having to isolate due to contracting Covid-19.

The Loose Women panelist, 41, had to miss last week’s episode because she contracted the virus.

In a video posted to her Instagram on Friday, she confirmed the happy news in a clip from spin off show It Takes Two.

She said on the show with Rylan: ‘Babes I’m alright. I’m here, I got through it, the first couple of days were rough. My mindset was just being back on that dance floor and just making sure I’m back and everyone’s safe and that’s the main thing.

‘As soon as I stepped onto that dancefloor I thought “this is where I’m supposed to be”

Speaking from Elstree studios during rehearsals: ‘I’ve missed it so much and it just brings back all these amazing memories over the past few weeks. It’s Halloween week – I’m so happy to be back.’

Her dance partner Graziano Di Prima also shared the happy news on social media in a candid video which he captioned: ‘WE ARE BACK!! YEEEEEESSSSS!!!’

Graziano said: ‘Hey guys! Finally we are back together! Are you ready for tomorrow?’

Judi then said: ‘Yes I am! I’ve missed by baby! My dancing partner! But we’re back!’

The pair then hugged and kissed each other on the cheek.

According to The Sun, Judi’s lack of practice time due to her absence is likely to cause upset with viewers as she will be at a disadvantage to her fellow competitors.

A TV insider has told the publication: ‘Whilst it is good news that Judi is returning to the show, viewers will think it’s unfair that she has been unable to rehearse like her co-stars.

‘That could see her end up in the bottom two for a third week, which will is likely to upset a lot of Strictly devotees.

‘It’s will also fuel the argument that black and asian competitors are at some kind of disadvantage’

Ugo Monye left the competition last week with dance partner Oti Mabuse, and was in the bottom two with Rhys Stephenson and professional Nancy Xu, while Nina Wadia was booted off the show in the first week.

This has led to viewers complain about the fact that black and Asian contestants always seemed to be in the bottom two, and have also brought to light that Judi has also been in the bottom two twice.

MailOnline contacted a Strictly representative, who declined to comment.

Judi has suffered with the illness throughout her 10 days of isolating, and posted an update from her bed on Monday saying ‘coronavirus is real.’

She also detailed all the ‘West Indian’ home remedies that she’s used to combat her symptoms.

The comedian told fans that she had ‘a rough couple of days’ and warned them that the prevalence of the illness should prompt them ‘to get your health in order’.

Posting a video from her bed, Judi said: ‘I don’t even know what day it is. Some kind of motivation day.

‘I just want to say to you guys, ‘Rona is real. I give thanks that I was doing little exercise and dancing thing. I feel like I’m handling it much better than I would have had if I hadn’t been doing little exercise and a little sweat.

‘You can hear from my voice, I have done all the West Indian recipes and remedies, for those who are West Indian, especially Jamaicans, you know what I’m talking about. I eat the garlic, onion, the turmeric, the honey – the expensive one, the Manuka one – the ginger, the lime, the lemon, the rum.

‘I’ve had all kind of soup – chicken foot soup, lamb neck soup, red peas, and my voice is still like this and then ‘Rona will then turn round to you and say to you, ‘You know what, on top of that bredrin, I’m not going to make you able to smell or taste.’

‘I mean, I can’t even smell myself and I know some of you need to smell yourself. I just want to say to you, I’m here.’
