Super Eagles Hold First Training session For South Africa, Benin Republic (Photostory) 2

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have started preparation for this month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification series against South Africa and Benin Republic.

Finidi George and his boys held their first training session at the training pitch of the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Sunday.

According to online sources, a total thirteen players took part in the first session with the exception of Chidozie Awaziem and Alhassan Yusuf who trained seperately due to probable injury concerns.

Ademola Lookman, Paul Onuachu, Maduka Okoye, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Alex Iwobi, and Frank Onyeka are expected to join the rest of the squad on Monday.
