The Super Falcons of Nigeria advanced to the semifinals of the ongoing Women African Cup of Nations after defeating their Cameroonian counterpart on Thursday (WAFCON).
At the Mohammed V stadium in Casablanca, Morocco, the Falcons defeated the Indomitable Lionesses by a single goal.

Rashidat Ajibade scored a stunning header in the 57th minute to give the defending champions the victory.
The Nigerian women dominated the game from the start but were unable to break the tie in the first half.
Since their opening-round loss to South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, the Super Falcons have improved their performance in the competition.

With their win on Thursday, the Super Falcons qualified for the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand next year. The team will now take on host Morocco in the semi-finals on Monday
The Super Falcons are looking to win their record 10th title.
