Sweden blasts President Buhari over Twitter ban
There is further news about the ban of Microblogging site Twitter by President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government of Nigeria.
After the indefinite suspension slammed on Twitter by the Federal Government of Nigeria Sweden has reacted.
To respect ‘freedom of expression, the European country in a tweet on its official handle called on President Muhammadu Buhari.
Right to access information and also freedom of expression Nigerians have a constitutional right to exercise both.
The statement by Sweden on Twitter said, ”Nigerians have a constitutional right to exercise their freedom of expression and a right to access of information.
”This must be respected. Safeguarding free, independent media and civic spaces for democratic voices is an important part of Sweden’s #DriveForDemocracy #TwitterBan
