Born in Lagos, Ugochukwu John Ogu is one of Nigeria’s finest midfielders in the last few years.

John Ogu is a box to box Midfielder with both defensive and attacking skills. He is likened to former Super Eagles midfielder: Sunday Oliseh of his style of play.

The Al- Aldalah midfielder made his debut against Kenya during the 2914 FIFA World Cup against Kenya and scored his first goal in a friendly match against Mexico on the 9th of June in 2013.

He was part of Gernot Rohr’s team to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia as well as the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt where he won a bronze medal.
