Iretiola Doyle, one of the leading characters in the popular television series: “Tinsel” has confirmed that she is now divorced from her husband, Patrick Doyle.
The veteran Nollywood actor confirmed this in an exclusive interview with popular media personality Chude Jideonwo obtained online.
The 55-year-old didn’t state the reason behind her divorce but she made it clear that she is no longer married to the man with whom she had six children.
“We are officially divorced”, she confirmed.
According to reports, Iretiola Doyle moved out of her matrimonial home in 2017 which fueled rumors about the state of her marriage with her husband.
In reaction to why people will be interested in knowing why she broke up with her husband, she said:
“I’m sorry if I contributed to shattering your image of love and a perfect couple, but my life is not an animation; I cannot sacrifice my life at the altar of your imagination or your fantasy.”
“So if I hurt anybody I’m sorry but I had to choose me.”
She won Best Actress in Supporting Role at the African Movies Academy Awards (AMAA) in 2017 and she has also been nominated for other awards since then.
