2 UN officials involved in viral sex video suspended
The two officials of the United Nations (UN) that were involved in the viral sex video have been suspended.
According to reports, the two officials of the UN were on an assignment in Israel before the sex act.
The viral video on social media is an 18-second clip which shows one man asleep in the passenger seat, while in the back seat a woman in a red dress in riding a man in the UN vehicle as they drove in Tel Aviv Israel
Reports say the officials are members of the UN military observers based in Israel which is the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO.
Not only are they suspended but will be without pay until the investigation is concluded.
In a statement, spokesman for the UN’s secretary-general Stéphane Dujarric told the BBC that “Their suspension was appropriate given the seriousness of the allegations of failing to observe the standards of conduct expected of international civil servants.
“UNTSO has re-engaged in a robust awareness-raising campaign to remind its personnel of their obligations to the UN Code of Conduct.”
