Veteran Nigerian Rap artist, Lotana Udezue otherwise known by his stage name, “BigLo” has died after his long long battle with illness.
Naijasuperfans gathered that the 42-year-old rapper died of kidney illness on Christmas Day – 25th December.
BigLo was first diagnosed with the illness in 2018 but has been undergoing treatment – Dialysis, three times in a week since Januar, 2019 in California, United States.
Some of his colleagues to their respective Twitter pages to pay tribute to the talented rapper and music producer.
Ruggedman wrote;
I am weak but God knows everything. I am happy to have met you and been your friend. You and your one style shoulder dance. Rest on my brother. I celebrate you.
I thank God for life. We lost a brother yesterday. Always thank God for your life and live it as best as you.
Samklef also turned his emotions into words;
Life is 2 short. Rapper Biglo dies after a long battle with a kidney ailment. RIP BIGLO.”
Biglo’s shot at limelight hit the target in 2004 with the hit track ‘Delicious’ which featured 2shotz. Even though the track won him a Hip Hop World Award for ‘Best Rap Collaboration’, the rapper later went off the radar soon after the buzz of the track died down.
In July 2019, the rapper underwent dialysis in California, US, after initiating a fundraiser via a Gofundme account which got him about $4,000 out of his target of $50,000 that same year.
