Nigeria’s vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo will depart the shores of the country today 15th September for Ghana to attend the extraordinary summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Mali political crisis.
Yemi Osinbajo will represent President Muhammadu Buhari in the summit as the leaders in the region meet to find a lasting solution to the political crisis in Mali as well as the security situation in the region.
This was contained in a statement by the Senior Special Adviser to the Vice President on Media and Publicity; Laolu Akande.
The statement reads;
The Accra meeting will form part of several efforts by leaders in the sub region to resolve Mali’s political crisis.
While in Accra, the vice president will also meet with representatives of the Nigerian community in Ghana to discuss issues bordering on their well being in the West African country.
