‘When you’re not paying your tithe, you’re under a financial curse – Pastor Oyedepo

David Oyedepo the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide also known as Winners Chapel International has given a stern message to Christians.

Oyedepo who is popularly known for his teachings about prosperity took to his official Twitter account to give his thoughts about the payment of tithe.

According to Oyedepo, payment of tithe which is 10% of earnings is mandatory and if not done could lead to a financial curse.

The message on his official Twitter account said, “Tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation. Prosperity not just wealth is impossible without tithing, because when you’re not paying your tithe, you’re under a financial curse. #Tithe #Breakinglimits.”

Several people criticized the statement that non-payment of tithe leads to financial curse with some users stating that payment will not create wealth, nor value but add to the pastor’s pocket.

Oyedepo then went on to explain in details what tithing is all about in another message on his Twitter account which said, “The way you handle your financial dealings determines greatly what happens to you financially. Many things that afflict men are traceable to their monetary dealings. False financial dealings can open doors to inexplicable afflictions. #Integrity #Friday #Breakinglimits”
