Wizkid

Wizkid, the Nigerian music icon, has been breaking or setting records since the release of his fourth studio album in October of 2020.

The Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar’s breakthrough album, Made In Lagos, is believed to have reached one billion streams across all streaming platforms not long after it was announced that his popular single, Essence, had become the first Nigerian song to ever reach the Billboard top 10 of 100.

This latest achievement comes less than a year after the album’s debut, during which time it also became the highest-charting African album on the Billboard 200. On Apple Music, the album has 322 million streams, 229 million on Spotify, 227 million on YouTube, and over 140 million on Audiomack.

Wizkid is currently in the United States promoting the album across various cities.
