An estimated 1200 fans of La Liga football in Nigeria are expected to watch Sunday’s El-clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona in Lagos in the company of legend and LaLiga Ambassador Samuel Eto’O Fils.
The Lagos viewing party will hold at the Landmark Beach resort right at the seafront on Victoria Island with three-time LaLiga winner Eto’o, a former teammate of Messi at the Camp Nou who ironically began his career with Real Madrid, on hand to share his views on the game.
Popular local DJ Crowd Controller will keep the party going both before and after the action from the Bernabeu, while fans can get involved themselves with the special social media hashtag #ElClásico9ja. The event is organised along with LaLiga’s Nigerian broadcast partner Supersport and LiveScore.
These are just three of 19 events being organised around the world for Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona, the most high-profile and best game in world club football.
The two teams come into the clash at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid battling at the top of LaLiga Santander’s standings, with Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, Antoine Griezmann, Sergio Ramos and company nearing top form as the season’s biggest games arrive.
The action from the Bernabeu is being broadcast to a potential audience of more than half a billion TV viewers in 183 countries worldwide.
