3 records to note as Arsenal’s topsy-turvy season continues after one-all draw at Turf Moor!

Arsenal’s run of consistent inconsistent season resurfaced again as Mikel Arteta’s side failed to pick maximum points as they shared the spoils at Turf Moor.

Despite going ahead as early as the 6th minute via Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang strike, the Gunners failed to capitalize on their next chance to take control of the game as Bukayo Saka failed to convert from close range.

Chris Wood capitalised on a terrible mistake by Granit Xhaka a few minutes before half time as the home side restored parity.

Both teams had the opportunity to seal the three points on a sunny afternoon at Turf Moor. However, neither Saka not Wood could take advantage of the chance to score.

VAR once again came into play as referee Andre Marriner rescinded the decision to give Arsenal a penalty after the ball appeared to have struck Pieter’s hand in the box.

Arsenal failed to capitalize on their impressive win at Leicester last week as they remain in 10th position with 38 points after 27 games.

Here are three highlights from the game;

1. Arsenal have only two of their last six Premier League games having lost two and drawn two

2. Since the start of 2016-17, Granit Xhaka has made more errors leading to goals (8) than any other outfield player in the Premier League.

3. Burnley have drawn five consecutive home league games for the third time in their history, after a run of six games ending in April 1936 and a run of five ending in October 1997.
