Super Eagles star striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has been nominated for the Premier League player of the month award for August.
He scored three goals in three games and notched one assist in the period under review.
He is nominated alongside Jarrod Bowen (West Ham), James Madison (Tottenham Hotspur), Bryan Mbeumo(Brighton), Kaoru Mitoma(Brentford) and Rodri (Manchester City).
This is the first edition of the player of the month award for the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Awoniyi has got three goals and one assist in four Premier League games this season.
Nottingham Forest are currently ninth on the Premier League table with six points from four matches in the division.
Awoniyi is in the Super Eagles squad for the AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe on Sunday, September 10.
