Super Eagles duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Victor Osimhen has left the camp of the Super Eagles in Portugal ahead of the friendly match against Mozambique on Monday.
In a post shared on the official X (formerly Twitter) page of the team, both players have been granted permission to leave camp.
According to the post, Napoli striker, Osimhen was allowed to leave camp as a precautionary measure due to the knock he picked up in the two-all draw against Saudi Arabia on Friday.
For Iheanacho, who got a goal against the Arabia n nation, the Leicester City was allowed to leave camp due to a personal reason.
The Super Eagles will be without two of their prolific forwards as they look to get a win over Mozambique after the disappointing draw against Saudi Arabia.
Jose Peseiro’s team are winless in fifteen international games with 8 draws and 7 defeats. The Super Eagles are ywt to win an international friendly match since 2018.
The match against the Southern African side will take place at the Estadio Municipal Albufeira in Portugal on Monday 15th October, 2023.
