Remo Stars winger Olamilekan Adams is in a joyous mood the Sky Blue Stars 2-1 win over Bayelsa United on Sunday, October 15 at the Samson Siasia Sports Stadium.
Adams scored the first goal of the match in the fourth minute and Sikiru Alimi doubled the lead for the away team in 78th minute.
Nelson Okorie pulled one back for Bayelsa United in the 88th minute.
The win certainly serve as a morale booster for the Daniel Ogunmodede led side after a 2-0 defeat to Rivers United on Thursday, October 12 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium
Adams took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to rejoice after his club’s victory.
“Thank you lord for the first Npfl goal of the 2023&2024 seasons am grateful God, the strength and knowledge to continue scoring baba come and give it to me,” he posted.
Adams has netted once in three NPFL appearances this season for the Daniel Ogunmodede led side.
Remo Stars are currently fourth place in the NPFL standings with six points from their first three games.
The Sky Blue Stars face Sporting Lagos next on Sunday, October 22 at the Remo Star Stadium.
