The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that Austin Eguavoen will continue as Super Eagles interim coach.
In a statement published on its website on Thursday, the executive committee of the football body approved that Eguavoen and his technical crew should take charge of the remaining fixtures of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Eguavoen, who is the current technical director of the NFF led the Super Eagles to a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic and a goalless draw away at Rwanda in the opening fixtures of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on the Mediterranean Knights of Libya on the 11th and 15th of October respectively as they continue their 2025 AFCON qualification series.
The NFF also comfirmed the appointment of Justin Madugu as the interim coach of the Super Falcons after the resignation of Randy Waldrum.
The Super Falcons next engagement will be the 2025 Women AFCON which will be hosted by Morocco next summer.
