Maduka Okoye is set to be in goal when the Super Eagles of Nigeria take on the Amavubi of Rwanda on Monday.
Okoye will step in for first choice goalie Stanley Nwabali who is currently away from the team due to the death of his father.
Nwabali took to social media to announce the death of his father after Super Eagles one-draw against Benin Republic in Abidjan on Thursday.
Maduka Okoye has been quite decent for Udinese in the Italian Serie A with 12 appearances and 3 clean sheets.
Since his last appearance for the Super Eagles in 2022, the 25-year-old has kept 8 clean sheets in 33 Serie A appearances for Udinese.
Okoye also boasts of a average 70% save ratio within the time frame as he continues to stand in between the sticks for Udinese.
Maduka Okoye will look to keep a clean sheet when he starts in goal for the Super Eagles against the Amavubi at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Monday.
