The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been handed a relatively easy draw ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco later this year.
The three-time African champions will square up against two East African nations, Uganda and Tanzania, and familiar foe Tunisia in Group C.
Nigeria last met Tunisia in the second round of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroun, as the Carthage Eagles edged the Super Eagles by a slim margin.
The Super Eagles would be meeting Uganda for the second time at the Africa Cup of Nations and the Cranes have an impressive record over Nigeria.
Uganda defeated Nigeria 2-0 in the semi-final of the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana.
The East African nation recorded a 2-1 win over the Super Eagles in an Africa Cup of Nations qualification match in 2007.
The Cranes also defeated the Super Eagles in two international friendly matches in 1981 (1-0) and in 2015 by the same margin.
Uganda have met the Super Eagles eight times and boasts of four victories, two losses, and two draws.
However, the Super Eagles have an enviable record over Tanzania with five victories, and no losses in eight matches against the Taifa Stars.
The Super Eagles will begin the quest to win their fourth Africa Cup of Nations title against Tanzania on 23 December at the Fez Stadium.
