Super Falcons Brush Ghana Black Queens Aside In Warm-up Friendly Ahead Of WAFCON

The Super Falcons of Nigeria rounded off their preparation for next month’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with an impressive victory over the Black Queens of Ghana.

Super Falcons cocah Justin Madugu lined up a strong starting line-up with captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala, Ashleigh Plumptre, Deborah Abiodun and Osinachi Ohale.

After moments of sustained pressure on the defense of the Black Queens, Chiwendu Ihezuo gave the Super Falcons the lead after the half hour mark.

Asisat Oshoala doubled the lead for the Super Falcons just before the halftime break from the penalty spot.

Captain of the side, Rasheedat Ajibade scored a few minutes after the restart to put the the nine-time African champions in a comfortable lead.

Alice Kusi reduced the deficit with about 10 minutes to go as she converted her penalty spot after an infringement in the box.

The match ended 3-1 in favour of Nigeria in Casablanca ahead of next week’s opener against Tunisia on July 6.
