Inter Milan have joined the race to sign Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman from Atalanta this summer. The Serie A giant have reportedly tabled a €40 million offer for the reigning African Footballer of the Year.
However, Inter Milan’s bid appear to fall short of Atalanta’s valuation of the 27-year-old forward. Ademola Lookman’s current valuation is in the region of €60 million as they look to make a significant profit from his sale.
According to reports from Italy, talks between Inter Milan and Atalanta are on as the former Serie A champions remain keen to bring the Nigerian winger to the club.
Ademola Lookman is reportedly interested in joining Inter Milan this summer after three successful spells in Bergamo with Atalanta, where he led them to their first European title in 2024.
Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid are also interested in signing Lookman this summer, despite the arrival of Argentine forward Thiago Almada.
The 24-year-old winger joined the 11-time La Liga champions from Brazilian Serie A side Botafogo for a fee in the region of €40 million.
Thiago Almada spent the last six months at French Ligue 1 side Lyon, and scored five goals and registered an assist in twenty matches.
However, Atlético Madrid are keen on adding experience to their forward line with a keen interest in the reigning African Footballer of the Year, Ademola Lookman.
Lookman’s valuation is pegged at €60 million as Atalanta look to pathways with the 27-year-old forward.
However, the Spanish outfit are unwilling to meet Lookman’s release clause but have been in contact with Atalanta again in recent days.
With the summer transfer window still open, negotiation between both clubs is expected to continue as the player seeks a new challenge.
Ademola Lookman led Atalanta to its European title in 2024 as he scored a hat-trick in the 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final.
