Chrisantus Uche Arrives London Ahead Of Switch To Crystal Palace

Super Eagles midfielder Chrisantus Uche will undergo a medical at Crystal Palace ahead of his move to the club on Premier League transfer deadline day.

The 22-year-old turned down a move to join Wolverhampton Wanderers last week as he preferred to remain in the Spanish La Liga with Getafe.

However, given Getafe’s financial situation, the club is condemned to sell Uche this summer and has convinced him to make the move.

The deal is reported to be in the region of €25 million, and the player is already in London to have his medical done before putting pen to paper.

Uche leaves Getafe eighteen months after he arrived from AS Cueta for less than $1 million.

The versatile midfielder has been impressive since joining Getafe and was arguably the club’s best player last season as he scored six goals and provided four assists in 33 league matches.

Uche has a goal and an assist in three matches this season as he leaves Getafe for Crystal Palace.

The midfielder is expected to complete his medical and unveiling on Monday before joining the Super Eagles camp ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
