The Confederation of African Football (CAF), have released the team of the tournament for the just-concluded Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles had three players in the team : Victor Osimhen in attack, Ademola Lookman in attacking midfield and Calvin Bassey in defense.
Osimhen is joined in attack by Player of the Tournament, Sadio Mane and the Golden Boot winner, Brahim Diaz.
Alex Iwobi had a remarkable outing in the tournament but didn’t make the team as CAF selected Senegal’s duo of Pape Gueye who scored the winner in the final and Idrissa Gueye.
Calvin Bassey had a monstrous tournament and deservedly made it to the team as he is paired with Senegal’s Moussa Niakhate’s in defense.
Morocco’s quartet of Achraf Hakimi, Noussair Mazraoui, Brahim Diaz, and goalkeeper, Bono were selected.
