Atletico Madrid have officially announced the signing of Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman.
The Spanish outfit signed the 2024 African Footballer of the Year from Atalanta in a deal worth €40 million.
Shortly after passing his medicals at the the Vithas – Invictum High Performance Sports Medicine Center of the Madrid Arturo Soria University Hospital, Ademola Lookman put pen to paper.
Atletico Madrid announced the signing of Lookman in a series of pictures on its social media pages as well its website highlighting his exploits at Atalanta and the Super Eagles.
Ademola Lookman joins Atletico Madrid at a critical point in the season as the Rojiblancos are 10 points behind league leaders Barcelona.
The 2016 Champions League finalists also have a tricky time in the playoffs of the competition as they take on Raphael Onyedika’s Club Brugge for a place in the second round.
Ademola Lookman is likely to make his debut away at Real Betis in the quarter-final of the Copa Del Rey on Thursday.
