
Former Super Eagles striker Michael Eneramo has passed away.
Eneramo reportedly slumped and died on the pitch during a local match in Ungwan Yelwa, Kaduna on Friday morning.
The striker reportedly played the first half of the match before the unfortunate incident happened.
The official X handle of the Super Eagles confirmed the death of the striker with an obituary on its page.
Michael Eneramo played for the Super Eagles between 2009 and 2011 with three goals in 10 appearances.
Eneramo played for a handful of clubs in Europe during his career, but made his mark at Espérance Tunis, where he spent six years scoring 51 goals in 86 appearances.
Michael Eneramo was 40 years old at the time of his passing.
