NFF Appoints Eboboritse Uwejamomere As New Flying Eagles Coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have appointed Sporting Lagos’ Head of Academy, Eboboritse Uwejamomere as the new head coach of the men’s national U-17 team, the Flying Eagles.

The post was formerly held by the World Cup-winning coach and former Super Eagles player, Nduka Ugbade.

He previously worked as an Academy youth development coach at Millwall FC, Gillingham FC and Nottingham Forest FC in England.

Eboboritse currently holds the UEFA A and UEFA Elite Youth A Licences.

He is currently working with the Super Eagles as a match Analyst, and head of football at Sporting Lagos Academy.

Eboboritse Uwejamomere will look to combine his experiences home and abroad in ensuring the Flying Eagles return to global stage in no time.

The appointment of Eboboritse Uwejamomere comes after the Flying Eagles of Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.

Nigeria, despite being the most successful side in the history of the competition with five trophies have missed out on the last three editions.
