Super Eagles defender Chidozie was solid as a rock in the heart of defence for his troubled La Liga side Leganes when they defeated Valencia 1-0 on Sunday.
Ruben Perez’s strike from the penalty spot separated the teams as Leganes stretched their unbeaten run to three games, with two wins in their last three outings.
Awaziem played a significant role as the Cucumber Growers boosted their chances of maintaining their LaLiga status with what could ultimately prove to be a vital three points.
He produced a solid defensive display for his side to secure the victory which puts them three points from relegation safety as they are now placed 18th in the LaLiga table with seven wins so far from 36 matches.
