Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi put up a brilliant display in Everton’s 5-2 thumping of Fleetwood away from home in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder played his first full match under Carlo Ancelotti this season and he didn’t fail to impress.
He scored a goal and had an assist as the Toffees progressed to the fourth round of the competition.
Iwobi provided the assist Richarlison’s second goal on the night with a sublime back flick in the 34th minute as the Brazilian doubled Everton’s lead at Highbury Stadium.

He eventually got on the score sheet after the restart as Anthony Gordon played him through.
Moise Kean and Bernard also got on the score sheet as they rounded off a brilliant night for Everton.
Iwobi’s performance on the night gives Ancelotti a good selection headache in the next game and it also put talks as regards his future at the club on hold.
The midfielder despite a difficult past few months, makes Gernot Rohr’s 25-man list for the forthcoming friendly matches against Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia in Austria.
