A handful of Sports teams, football among others, over the weekend, paid tribute to the late Diego Maradona who died on the 25th of November in Tigre, Argentina.
Some teams observed a minute of silence and also clapped for him in the 10th minute of their matches to honour the football legend.
His former team, Boca Juniors have been paying tributes to him since he died and they continued over the weekend in their 2-0 win over Maradona’s former team Newell’s Old Boys at the famous La Bombonera Stadium.
After Edwin Cardona’s sublime free-kick which gave the home side the lead, the players laid the number 10 jersey directly in front of Maradona’s official box, clapped for him which made his daughter cry.
