Six players from six clubs have been nominated for Premier League’s November Player of the Month Award.
Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, Tottenham Hotspur’s midfielder, Pirre-Emile Hojbjerg, Westham’s defender of Nigerian descent, Angelo Ogbonna and Southampton’s set-piece specialist, James Ward-Prowse all made the shortlist.
Ben Chilwell
The £50m left-back scored his second goal of the season in a 4-1 bashing of Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge, he kept a clean sheet against Tottenham Hotspur and contributed to another Chelsea 2 nil win at Newcastle United.
Bruno Fernandes
The former Sporting Lisbon midfielder has been in terrific form for the Red Devils so far this season. He scored in Machester United’s last three Premier League matches; the spot-kick West Brom, a brace and an assist against Everton and the Red Devils first goal in the 3-2 victory against Southampton last Sunday.
Jack Grealish
He is one of the most fouled players so far this season given his ball retention quality. The Aston Villa skipper did a yeoman’s job in his club’s 3-0 victory at Arsenal, he scored a brilliant goal against Westham United and he also scored a goal and provided an assist in the seven goals thriller against Southampton.
Angelo Ogbonna
Angelo Ogbonna scored a sublime header in the 2-1 victory of Aston Villa and also kept a clean sheet against Sheffield United and he was also impressive in the 1 nil victory over Fulham.
James Ward-Prowse
James Ward Prowse without a doubt is arguably the best set-piece takers in the Premier League. He provided an assist via a corner and scored a brilliant free-kick against Manchester United. He scored three free-kicks in November.
Pierre Emile Hojbjerg
He helped Tottenham keep three clean sheets in November as Jose Mourinho’s men finished the month unbeaten. The Danish midfielder also completed 89% of his passes and recorded a PL-high 10 tackles in November.
