Arsenal boss Arteta hails Lacazette, Tierney for win against West Brom
Arsenal recorded a 4-0 away win against West Bromich on Saturday, January 2nd 2021.
Kieran Tierney converted a ball by Rob Holding to put Arsenal in front in the 23rd minute.
Bukayo Saka converted a cross by Emile Smith-Rowe in the 28th minute to double their lead.
Alexandre Lacazette scored the third in the 60th minute and converted a ball by Kieran Tierney in the 64th minute to score the fourth.
Speaking after the game, Arteta praised Alexandre Lacazette and Kieran Tierney.
About Lacazette, he said,“He was great, he needed that confidence with the goals,” Arteta told Arsenal.com.
“His work rate is always there, he’s always fighting for the team but he needed that luck for the ball to land to him in the right moments.
“I think he’s in a great moment, we have to take advantage of that and give him minutes because it seems like he’s enjoying it.”
About Tierney he said, , who capped a fine individual display with an brilliant opening goal.
“I think the whole action [was great] because he wanted to play forward, he was determined to move the ball forward, he gets the dribble.
“It was a terrific shot and you saw his reaction. I’m so happy for him, I think he’s been really really good. I think he’s been outstanding in some games and I’m really pleased for him to score that goal.”
