Breaking! Tottenham Hotspur sack Jose Mourinho!

English Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur have parted ways with manager, Jose Mourinho less than a year and six months after he was appointed.

Club Chairman, Daniel Levy in his statement said he enjoyed working with the manager but things didn’t work out well as he envisaged.

“Jose and his coaching staff have been with us through some of our most challenging times as a Club. Jose is a true professional who showed enormous resilience during the pandemic. On a personal level I have enjoyed working with him and regret that things have not worked out as we both had envisaged. He will always be welcome here and we should like to thank him and his coaching staff for their contribution.”

However, reports suggest that the Portuguese manager was relieved of his duties not necessarily because of Tottenham’s poor season but because he refused to take the players to the training pitch over the club’s European Super League admission.

Jose Mourinho’s sack was made public via a tweet by top Journalist, Trevor Azul.

“Breaking: Tottenham Hotspur have fired Jose Mourinho after an explosive morning where he refused to take players onto training ground over the club’s proposed Super League admission. More to follow. TA.”

Jose Mourinho’s sacking comes six days before the EFL Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.
