Fire outbreak stalls renovation at Real Madrid stadium!

There was a late-night fire outbreak at Real Madrid’s home ground, the  Santiago Bernabeau Stadium which is currently undergoing renovation ahead of the new season.

The incident which took place on Wednesday night was confirmed by top Spanish media outlet, Marca.

Huge smoke was seen emanating from the stadium before the firefighters were called to put out the fire.

The cause of the fire outbreak in the stadium remains unknown as of now.

The damage caused by the fire outbreak could see a delay in the completion of work at the stadium.

The new Real Madrid Stadium will include restaurants, a five storey underground car pack, new restaurants and a shopping centre, a fixed roof that will cover every seat, a retractable roof that will cover the whole pitch, and a 360-degree screen.

Real Madrid have been playing their home matches at the 6,000 capacity Alfredo Di Stephano Stadium since the renovation of the Santiago Bernabeau commenced in 20l9.
