Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanancho both received cash rewards after their outstanding performances in Super Eables 2-0 win over Liberia as they began their World Cup qualifier in style.
Alex Iwobi provided the assists for Iheanancho’s brace and the players were rewarded with a cash prize of N1m each.
Iwobi, the Everton midfielder was awarded the Most Valuable Player in the match courtesy of GAC Motors while Iheanancho was awarded the Man of the Match accolade by 33 Extra Stout.
The two Premier League players and their colleagues playing in the United Kingdom will not travel with the team to Cape Verde on Tuesday due to United Kingdom’s COVID-19 restrictions.
The Super Eagles will take on Cape Verde on Tuesday, 2.p.m local time.
