The senior women’s basketball team of Nigeria DTigress have qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing African Women’s Championship in Cameroon after defeating Cote D’Ivoire 72-56
In a dominant performance over Cote D’Ivoire, DTigress led in all four quarters as they keep their dream of winning the championship for a third consecutive time.
Once again, point guard, Ezinne Kalu was the star performer for the team as she registered 17 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists while Salimata Berte had 13 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist for Cote D’Ivoire.
DTigress will now take on the winner between Senegal or Mozambique in the semi-finals tomorrow as they look to win their fifth title.
