Flying Eagles Emerge Victors Over Young Pharaohs
The Nigerian U-20 football team, the Flying Eagles have emerged victorious over the Young Pharaohs of Egypt at the U-20 African Football Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Flying Eagles defeated hosts Egypt 1-0 at the Cairo international Stadium on Wednesday February 22
Solomon Agbalaka’s header in the 71st minute gave Nigeria the victory over the Egyptians.
This is the Flying Eagles first win of the tournament after losing 1-0 to Senegal on Sunday February 19.
The Flying Eagles are second in Group A with three points from two games.
Up next is a game against Mozambique on Saturday February 25.
