Fifteen additional students abducted from Bethel Baptist students Kaduna who were among the 121 students kidnapped by bandits on the 5th of July have been freed 48 days after they were captured.
The state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, John Hayab confirmed the development to newsmen in Kaduna on Sunday.
“Fifteen more students were released on Saturday night and 65 students are still with the bandits,”
Police spokesperson in the state, Mohammed Jalige also confirmed the release of the fifteen Bethel Baptist students.
This brings the total number of released students to 43 after 28 were released twenty days after their abduction.
Nevertheless, Mr. Jalige didn’t confirm whether ransom was paid to the bandits for the release of the students.
He said;
