AEK Athens Close To Sealing Move For Super Eagles’ Cyriel Dessers

AEK Athens are closing in on a deal to sign Super Eagles striker Cyril Dessers from Rangers, with negotiations gaining significant momentum.

According to Sport FM Greece, the Greek club are making significant progress as they look to wrap up the deal in the days ahead.

AEK Athens see Dessers as a primary target as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new football season.

Furthermore, the appointment of Marko Nikolić as AEK’s new head coach has been a driving force behind the pursuit of Cyriel Dessers. The coach reportedly sanctioned the move before his appointment.

Dessers’ playing style and experience apparently suit’s Nikolić’s tactical vision at AEK. His physical attributes, goal-scoring ability, and dynamism in in attack as they hope to dethrone Olympiacos.

Cyriel Dessers joined Rangers from Italian side Cremonese in 2023 and has been impressive for the Gers. In two seasons, he has scored an impressive 51 goals in 109 matches.

Dessers finished as the Scottish Premiership’s top scorer last term with 18 goals in 35 matches.
