AFCON 2025: Eric Chelle Announces Super Eagles Preliminary Squad

Super Eagles of Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle has announced his 54-man squad for the 35th Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Morocco between December and January.

Eric Chelle handed invitation to a handful of regulars including team captain, William Troost-Ekong, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, Bruno Oyemaechi, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Ademola Look man, Victor Osimhen among a host of others.

The list also consists of some new faces including talented Inter Milan midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Ryan Alebiosu, Tochukwu Nnadi, Usman Mohammed, Peter Agba among others.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Paul Onuachu, Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Boniface, are among some of the returnees in the team.

According to reports, The final list of 28 players will be announced in the days ahead.

The Super Eagles are to begin camping in Egypt on December 10 and will play a friendly match against the Pharoahs ahead of the tournament which starts on December 21.
