Super Eagles captain, Williams Troost-Ekong, Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina and five other players have arrived camp for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The players arrived Uyo on Monday morning and they were welcomed by officials of the Nigeria Football Federation.
Other players who also arrived on Monday morning include Orlando Pirates defender, Olisa Ndah, Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi Westbrom’s Semi Ajayi.
Lazio’s midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Atalanta’s forward, Ademola Lookman also arrived camp on Monday as well.
As of the time of filing this report, a total of seven players are in camp and training is expected to commence later today. The remaining sixteen invited players are being expected in camp.
Imterim coach, Austin Eguavoen will take charge of the team for the two fixtures and he will be asissted by Enugu Rangers coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu and Remo Stars coach, Daniel Ogunmodede.
The Super Eagles will take on Benin Republic on Saturday 7, September before traveling to take on Rwanda three days later in Kigali.
