AFCON2022Q: "We want to continue in this tradition" - Germot Rohr on Super Eagles qualifying with games to spare! 2

Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has qualified the team for major tournaments with games to spare and he’s looking forward to repeating the same feat as the Super Eagles take on Sierra-Leone.

The team might seal qualification for 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon if they secure maximum points in the double-header against the Leone Stars.

They could also secure their qualification ticket if they get 4 points and hope that the other result goes their way.

The Super Eagles gaffer admitted that the two matches won’t be easy but the team, as well as the staff, is in good shape for the matches.

He also said a video of how the Sierra-Leonians play was shown to the team but it will be played for the team again because some players arrived late.

Tomorrow won’t be easy but if we start with nine points in three games, even a draw in Sierra Leone could be enough but we go all the time for winning the games.

It won’t be easy, we showed already a video to our players but unfortunately, some of our players arrived only yesterday night so we have to do it again this morning.

We will not underrate this team, our tradition is to be qualified with games to spare, we want to continue in this tradition.

The match is slated for 5 pm tomorrow at the newly-renovated Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium while the return fixture will be played at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown.
