The male senior basketball tram of Nigeria, ‘D’Tigers’ are in top shape ahead of their clash against South Sudan in the second window of the Afrobasket Qualifiers.

D’Tigers had a brilliant display in the first window of the qualifiers in November 2020 as they topped group D with victories over host Rwanda, South Sudan and Mali.

The team will be without head coach, Mike Brown as well as Alex Nwora as they look to book their Afrobasket ticket in the next few days.

D’Tigers will take on South Sudan at the Salle Mohammed Mzali Arena in Monastir, Tunisia and they look to get the double over the South Sudanese having defeated them in the first encounter 83-62 back in November.

Ike Diogu led the offensive with 18 points,  while Ike Ireogbu had 17 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists while

Team captains, Ike Diogu and Ben Uzoh, Ike Nwamu, Ike Ireogbu, Mike Gbinije among other foreign-based players are in top gear ahead of the match slated for 5 p.m later today.

Mfon Udofia will be on the touchlines for the team in the absence of the Mike Brown and Alex Nwora.
