Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has named 25 home-based players for the international friendly match against Mexico scheduled for July in the United States.

Ahmed Musa, the team captain was omitted from the squad as the German tactician picked a star-studded team from the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Enyimba’s Anayo Iwuala and John Nobble got another invite to the national team while Heartland’s Ikechukwu Ezenwa got a recall into the team after a brief absence.
