Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has urged Africa’s representatives at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar to shine during the Mundial.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to take place in the Middle East between November 20 and December 18.
While speaking with the newly elected president of the Nigerian Football Federation Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, Musa encouraged all the African countries participating in the World Cup to do the continent proud.
“If Nigeria had qualified for the World Cup we would also be contesting for the title,” Musa said.
“Since we are not there, I have adopted the five African representatives as my teams and I would be praying and rooting for them to do the black continent proud.
“My message to the five African countries is to go to Qatar and be fearless. They should go there believing they can win the World Cup like every other country. They should go and create history for themselves and their countries.”
Africa’s representatives at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar are Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco and Tunisia.
